Team G.O.O.D. travel team had a good showing in the April live period, they can only go forward from this point.

Team G.O.O.D. 16u:  Team G.O.O.D. 16u played great together in their first two live period tournaments, making it to the semifinals in both tournaments.

In Hoop Mountain Run N Gun Tournament in Richmond, Va they lost a heart breaker  to D.C. Hoyas in the semifinals, with a 1 point lost in overtime.

In Big Shots Rock Hill Team G.O.O.D. 16u came short again in the semifinals with a 3 point lost to a good Carolina Hurricane team.

Team G.O.O.D. 15u: Played good for their first time playing in a NCAA tournament, with a good showing in Richmond they took their confidence to Big Shots Rock Hill and played with a lot of passion and heart. Their three bigs in the Middle  played their hearts out been down by 18 in the second half to Low Country Ballers, the fought back to take the lead. Three seconds left in the game Low Country Ballers hit a shot to take the lead and win the game.

Team G.O.O.D. 14u: Being a scrappy team and a team that don’t give up, teams they face didn’t no what to do with them. In Richmond they made it to the semifinals with a lost to Richmond Metro to go to the Championship.

Short a couple of players at Big Shots Rock Hill it was tough playing with seven players facing well seasoned teams like Team Felton. Their first time out to NCAA tournaments they really turned heads and made their selves unforgettable.

Team GOOD 13u: Team G.O.O.D. 13u got a chance to witness a NCAA event in Richmond, VA, with it been there first time competing at that level the kids had more of  a shock then a bad moment. Good play from all the players they fail short of a win in Richmond, but played hard and never gave up. With the experience they got from the tournament in Richmond we can see them finishing out the season with a lot of championships under their belt.

TEAM G.O.O.D. Tryouts

This is the most exciting time of year for us here at GOOD Kids Inc… Team G.O.O.D. is a grassroots basketball team that competes nationally in invitation tournaments and exposure camps. This year we have added 5 teams to our family and great coaches. AWBC (Amateur World Basketball Connection) will also get started this summer; we are looking to take two teams over to Barcelona, Spain to compete, make friends abroad, and learn about their basketball culture. 

The 1^st Tryouts for Team G.O.O.D. will be held at Katie & Irwin Kahn Jewish Community Center 306 Flora Drive Columbia, SC 29223

This year Youth Vision mentoring program was a success thanks to the youth in the Prescott Community, the staff in the Prescott Community, the mentors that donated their time ( Chad Speights, Willie Hampton, and Marion Coltrain), and Hetepu Productions for holding the Oscar Micheaux Film Competition and giving these youth an experience they will never forget.

The kids that participated in the Youth Vision program had a chance to be guess on the Evolve with Tzima Show, was a guess on WLTX live @ 5 Show with Darci Strickland and had a chance to sit on the panel at the Reel Black Pix Film Festival Filmmakers Forum Discussion.

The youth that participate in Youth Vision had the chance to learn about the film industry, produce their own film, and also have the chance to visit film sets and studios around the Columbia area. Youth Vision was created to inspire, build confidence, and bring out the creative side of all participating youth. The film that the youth created this year is named Our Future, even though the acting wasn’t the best the film has a message that ever one should consider. It also won the Oscar Micheaux Award at the film festival.
